Wabash Heartland Innovation Network to Launch Manufacturing Alliance
WEST LAFAYETTE — Wabash Heartland Innovation Network announces the launch of the WHIN Manufacturing Alliance. The WHIN Manufacturing Alliance is an exclusive consortium of affiliated manufacturers in north-central Indiana receiving products and services designed to support and encourage adoption of internet-enabled technologies in order to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and optimize operations.

The WHIN Manufacturing Alliance is an exclusive consortium of affiliated manufacturers in north-central Indiana receiving products and services designed to support and encourage adoption of internet-enabled technologies in order to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and optimize operations.
WHIN is seeking twenty progressive manufacturers in the Wabash Heartland region to be a part of the alliance in the first year. The members will not only receive information from WHIN, but they will also be receiving technologies from vetted, and approved technology partners. WHIN is proud to announce partnership with two technology partners, Fluke Corporation and Guardian Machine Protection, in this inaugural year.
As part of the partnership, Fluke is working with WHIN Alliance members by providing vibration sensors, software, and services designed for predictive maintenance of machines — an important area where the IoT can be leveraged for business value.

Guardian Machine Protection is an industrial machinery preventative maintenance service company and will be providing discounted subscription plans to help manufacturers detect problems before they occur.

Wabash Heartland Innovation Network is working to make north-central Indiana the global epicenter of internet of things-enabled manufacturing and agriculture innovation. The launch of the Manufacturing Alliance is just a step in that direction; the manufacturers in this region are some of the best in the country, and they play a key role in the application of sensor-based technologies. WHIN intends to grow this network and add additional high-quality technology partners like Fluke and Guardian in the future.
