More than 160 community leaders from across WHIN’s ten-county region gathered for the first regional workshop at Ivy Tech Lafayette and GE Aviation. The event united leaders in agriculture, manufacturing, education, and technology to explore IoT innovation and strengthen collaboration for regional economic growth.

Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded a $38.9 million grant to support WHIN’s mission of transforming its ten-county region into a global center for digital agriculture and next-generation manufacturing. The funding will help develop a thriving economic ecosystem powered by Internet of Things (IoT) innovation in northwest central Indiana.

The Greater Lafayette region has received a $495,000 planning grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to develop a strategic plan for economic growth. The initiative brings together leaders from industry, academia, and community organizations to leverage regional strengths in manufacturing, agriculture, life sciences, and renewable energy.
